Which Of The Final Four Teams Is Most Likely To Win TI 11?
We are down to the final four teams left in contention to lift the TI 11 Aegis of the Immortal. With the main favorites (PSG.LGD) as well as last year’s winners (Team Spirit) out of the picture, it truly feels like any team’s game at this point. Looking at the Dota 2 Betting odds, Team Secret and Tundra Esports are the frontrunners for The International 2022 Title.
Another team that’s not too far from those odds is the LCQ hero Team Liquid, while Chinese hopefuls Team Aster have been given the lowest chances. Still, it’s definitely an even race when looking at this year’s TI 11 finals. Team Secret and Tundra are in the best place considering they’re playing in the Upper Bracket Finals. Aster and Liquid on the other hand are both one step away from elimination, but should not be counted out.

On The Cusp Of Glory
Out of the final four teams left, Team Secret has impressed the most at TI 11 by far. After finishing as the Group B runners-up, Secret went on to clean sweep PSG.LGD and Thunder Awaken on their road to the Upper Bracket Finals. It’s fair to say that Secret has no glaring weaknesses, as every part of the team has delivered what was asked of them so far. While all eyes were on Nisha, Secret’s offlane duo of Zayac and Resolut1on have emerged as the unsung heroes of their Upper Bracket run.

The team that’s looking as the biggest threat in Secret’s way is Tundra Esports. Tundra surprised many with their stellar play. There was a lot of hype behind this team heading into this year’s event, especially considering this is only Tundra’s first TI ever. Tundra’s strengths lie behind their stellar drafts, as most of the teams have found it nearly impossible to deal with the team’s constant pressure. Whether it’s their specific form of the zoo meta or just pure pressure across the board, Tundra has so far excelled in exploiting its advantage.

Lower Bracket Hopefuls
Team Liquid has definitely had the hardest road out of all the teams in the final four. After going through the gauntlet of the LCQ, Liquid rose to the occasion during The International Groups. Although an early loss to Aster saw them drop down to the Lower Bracket, Liquid would go on to win against Entity, OG, and Thunder Awaken on their way to the final four. In short, Liquid’s gameplay has for the most part been the antidote to the current TI meta. Liquid likes to get their farm up before going for controlled team fights that they thrive in. While all eyes are on MATUMBAMAN and his quest for a second Aegis, Boxi has undoubtedly been the standout player on Liquid at the event.

Lastly, we’ve got Team Astar as China’s in the mix of three of the EU’s strongest teams. Aster’s last series against the heavily-favored side of PSG.LGD proved who the region’s top dogs actually are. The Chinese side owes most of its success to Monet, who has looked like the best carry player at the event. Truth be told, Aster’s odds are looking stacked against them mostly due to how they’ve performed against European teams. Their itemization and overall gameplay have left a lot to be desired, which was evident in Aster’s loss to Tundra.

Who’s Most Likely Going To Win?
Looking at the TI 11 final four both Secret and Tundra are naturally in a better spot considering they’ve got fewer hurdles on their way to the Aegis. Liquid and Aster both have a series more to play if they are to qualify for the Grand Finals, which mathematically lowers their chances.
Looking at the team’s performance at the event, we’re pretty sure that The International 2022 winner will be either of the team’s in the Upper Bracket Finals. Both Tundra and Secret have put themselves in their current position with good reason. They have less obvious weaknesses in their game compared to Liquid and Aster. Liquid does have its fair chance of taking the Aegis, while Aster is the odd team out.
In the toss-up between Secret and Tundra, we’re giving Tundra the edge. Tundra has shown us they can beat Secret at their own game, winning their group-stage show-off against Puppey&Co.
