Korean Dota 2 player Kim “DuBu” Doo-young has parted ways with TSM following a one year stint with the organization. DuBu’s departure comes in the wake of the post-Ti shuffle, and following the team’s disastrous performances at The International 2022. At TI, TSM failed to make it out of the Group Stage after finishing in the last place of Group B.
DuBu’s departure comes after almost two years of competing with the same group of players. His journey with the squad first started under Team Undying, of which he was a founding member. Over the course of the 2021 DPC Season, Team Undying emerged as a top-three team in the North American region. Heading into 2022, Team Undying’s roster got picked up by TSM, with the signing being the North American organization’s first foray into competitive Dota 2.

For the large duration of the 2022 DPC Season, TSM surprised many with their stellar showings both domestically and internationally. During a large part of that period, DuBu was an integral part of the team’s successes. Known as a mechanically gifted player, he was seen by many as the NA region’s strongest hard support.
An International To Forget
Sadly, everything came crashing down for TSM at TI. The whole team played significantly below expectations and ended the groups without a single won series in their eight competitive outings. While it remains unknown where DuBu will continue his career, his free agency is likely going to be a major factor in this year’s shuffle.
With the current rumors circling around the North American scene, there is a strong chance we might see DuBu switch regions heading forward.
